Keeton Limousin Ranch is a family owned and operated cattle operation located on the Southern High Plains of West Texas. Our semi-arid native and improved pastures give us a favorable environment especially suited for raising quality purebred Limousin cattle. The homestead with improved pastures is located near Wolfforth, Lubbock County, Texas and our ranch with native grass pastures is located nearby in Terry County, Texas.

We focus on producing purebred Limousin cattle that are useful for both the beef industry and visually appealing enough to excel in the show ring. Our breeding herd was initiated with a single Limousin heifer in 1984. Since then, we have grown our herd by selecting promising replacement females that were raised mostly within our own herd. Our insistence on quality breeding females has paid dividends with the outstanding quality of calves produced annually by our herd. Keeton Limousin utilizes AI sires to expand the genetic horizons of our cowherd. Our focus in selecting AI sires includes balanced EPD profiles along with visually appealing traits that complement our existing cowherd.

Keeton Limousin is dedicated to the expansion of the Limousin breed both within our local area as well as nationally. We believe that Limousin cattle complement almost every breed type utilized in today’s beef industry. The breed’s major strength is the ability to efficiently produce lean muscle yield without adversely affecting other traits like quality grade. Keeton Limousin has focused our breeding program on giving our customers the maximum amount of hybrid vigor when mating our bulls to the typical cowherd in today’s beef industry. That means we raise and sell only purebred Limousin. Our focus on purebred Limousin allows our customers to naturally avoid genetic abnormalities associated with other prominent breeds.

We also believe in the positive influence that local, state, and national organizations have on current participants and future leaders in the agriculture industry. That is why we support NALF, NALJA, TLA, TJLA, and our regional and county heifer shows.
